Project Details
Description
The NMR Facility at the Australian National University serves over 20 research groups engaged in cutting-edge chemical and biological research. Three NMR spectrometers (300 and 500 MHz, 12-25 years old) are to be consolidated into a new 700 MHz NMR spectrometer to expand the capability of the NMR Facility in the face of growing demand for advanced NMR analyses from an increasing number of research groups. Servicing of the hardware of the old spectrometers has become difficult and their software could no longer be updated for the past 5 years. The new spectrometer will rescue the Facility from a precarious situation, provide new multinuclear, multi-temperature and solid-state capabilities, and enable modern time-saving NMR techniques.
