Project Details
Description
A Regent Parrot survey will be carried out by Nature Foundation in August. This will identify trees and hollows potentially being used by nesting pairs of Regent Parrots. In September, these trees will be climbed by the ANU researchers (if safe to do so) and the nest will be confirmed as active (indicated through the presence of eggs), or inactive (absence of eggs or presence of another bird species using the hollow). In October, the trees climbed in September will be revisited and any Regent Parrot chicks present will be noosed and measured before being returned to the hollow.
