Project Details
Description
This project will provide insights into the economic, social, demographic and policy interactions that influence both ends of Australia s ageing population crisis : family formation and fertility among younger age groups and labour force participation and retirement decisions made by older Australians. A second emphasis will focus on the capacity of families with children to achieve their desired work-family balance and the interaction between individual circumstances, the workplace and government policies that promote or constrain these choices. Following two previous ARC awards, the application seeks funding for continuation of ARC funding for the highly successful Negotiating the Life Course project.
