Project Details
Description
Nonlinear partial differential equations lie at the cutting edge of modern theoretical and applied mathematics. In the last few decades, their study has generated complex and deep theoretical issues along with a diverse range of applications. This project, which builds upon recent discoveries of the two proposers, is concerned with nonlinear elliptic equations and their applications in particular to affine geometry, optimisation and nonlinear potential theory. The resultant research will contribute important new discoveries as well as enhance Australia's leadership and training role in these areas.
