Project Details
Description
The nitrogen-vacancy centre in diamond has attracted interest in the field of quantum information because of long-lived spin states coupled to a strong optical transition. The coupling enables the development of exciting new technologies where information is processed using spins of single nitrogen-vacancy centres. This research program is aimed at obtaining a thorough understanding of the optical-spin coupling interaction as it is of central importance for the successful development of this technology.
