    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

Australia plays a leading role internationally in quantum science, a burgeoning area of research wherefundamental quantum mechanical principles underpin exciting new technological applications, such as ion-basedquantum computing, ultracold atom sensing for geo-exploration and defence, and nanoscale imaging inside livinghuman cells. This project will develop and commercialise optical cavity and frequency stabilisation technology togenerate laser light at new and precise wavelengths, to progress our work in quantum science, and enhanceAustralia's strong track record in producing and exporting high quality high value scientific instrumentation.
