Description
These Research Activities focus on applying the XCT analytical methods developed at ANU to investigate their applicability in quantifying a range of ore characteristics expected to affect copper availability in heap leaching. The Research Activities will be guided by the following questions:
1.
What are the physical properties of an ore that could influence the availability1 of copper within that ore to be leached via heap leaching?
2.
How might ore characteristics such as porosity be linked to the corresponding leaching and recovery of copper from the ore?
