Description
This proposal seeks funding for a range of equipment that when installed within the one location would provide a state-of-the-art facility for conducting synthetic organic chemistry of importance in medical and materials science areas. This equipment will service the demanding day-to-day needs of some sixty PhD and post-doctoral-level chemists working on the development of syntheses of organic compounds that could serve as potent anti-bacterial agents, drug delivery systems, plant-growth regulating agents or molecular machines.
