Planar microphone array for spatial audio recording

This project aims to make an advanced prototype of a microphone unit capable ofdemonstrating its spatial audio recording capability in applications such as humanmachineinteractions including autonomous systems, digital entertainment,Virtual/Augmented systems, and future hearing enhancement devices. We will useDTF funding to (i) Design and implement source localisation, beamforming andbinaural reproduction algorithms on the prototype, (ii) Electronic hardware andfirmware design of the second generation microphone unit (Beta Prototype), (iii)Design and built the outer casing, and (iii) Test and calibrate the system. Theoutcome of the project will help us to obtain user feedback and to find potentialcustomers.
