Policy, Politics, Culture: EU Migration and Integration (PPCEUMI) is focused on the study of third-country migrant integration in the European Union through the lenses of politics, policy, governance, and culture. The need to further develop the EUs policies for integration has been underlined by the recent influx of irregular migrants and asylum seekers, combined with ongoing regular migration. The experiences of non-EU states that have dealt with large migrant populations offers a largely untapped pool of knowledge. Understanding and integrating the knowledge and experience of third-countries offers the potential to strengthen the EUs long-term capacity for migrant integration.
