    Description

    Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of death and disability in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanderpeoples and is the single greatest contributor to the Indigenous-non-Indigenous health gap. Indigenous Australiansexperience CVD risk and events 15-20 years earlier than non-Indigenous Australians, underlying changes tonational guidelines spearheaded by our team recommending CVD risk assessment starting at age 18 in this population
