Preparing for Elections in Afghanistan: Prospects and Challenges

Funding is for an expert report that highlights issues relating to the presidential elections in Afghanistan scheduled for 2014 and possibly ways of addressing them. The report could be circulated to other countries' special representatives. Given that considerations of state sovereignty may militate against Australian Government's pronouncing directly on some of the most pertinent issues, the APCD will be arranging and hosting the workshop leading to the report.
