    Project Details

    Description

The PREMISE Next Generation CRE will bring together the next wave of leaders from 6 world-leading translational research centres in youth mental health and substance use, to drive policy and practice reforms that address emerging trends, latest evidence and critically reflect priorities identified by young people. Via two interconnected streams of research, we will: 1) identify new targets for prevention through cutting edge causal modelling of large, harmonised longitudinal data sets; and 2) optimise, adapt, and develop new preventive interventions to address contemporary issues for youth. We will harness new technologies, develop and test cost-effective practices. We will grow and mentor a large cohort of mental health and substance use early- and mid-career researchers, youth, and people with lived experience to ensure that the capacity built through this CRE can be sustained into the future.
