Project NIPfLA (Network Infrastructure Pathfinder for Laser communications in Antarctica)

This project will provide a framework for participating organisations to scope opportunities for collaboration on Antarctic connectivity. Specifically, participants are interested in exploring how they can work together to bring optical communications to the Antarctic plateau and continent. As part of this projects, participants also want to identify how such a network could interface with existing space-based and terrestrial networks including fiber and RF satellites in LEO and GEO.
