    Description

    Proto Oceanic is the immediate common ancestor of 450 Austronesian languages of Melanesia, Polynesia and Micronesia. This project will extend research begun in 2003 with ARC funding and will allow us to complete volumes 4 (social organisation, cosmology) and 5 (comparing the testomonies of archaeology and linguistics, with dictionary, thesaurus and indices for the full series).
