Research Into the Influence of Drought, Heatwaves and Microclimate on Culturally Significant Plants in Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

This project will link to and build on that previous research. It will focus on a series of priority species of cultural importance to be identified by Aangu and conduct in situ and ex situ research to investigate interacting factors that are likely to have major influences on resilience of plants in the park. The results will complement those of other studies to provide a more comprehensive and detailed picture of the drivers of plant occurrence and survival, the likely vulnerability of different species to the impacts of a changing climate, and of management options.
