Project Details
Description
This project will present a comprehensive and critical analysis of regional arrangements between countries for sharing responsibility for refugees. Building on original primary research by the research team, scholars from different disciplines, government officials and civil society will test and disseminate the research. The project will provide evidence-based research that will inform ongoing discussions about responsibility sharing at the United Nations as well as Australian policy discussions about the design of a 'regional framework' for refugees. Outputs will include a set of Guiding Principles for policy makers, two books, six articles, and wide dissemination via the internet and in the media.
