Project Details
Description
The use of autonomous and robotic systems is becoming prevalent in Defence applications. DST is seeking Prof. Shamess assistance to explore safe and well-designed application of robotics and autonomous systems in the military context. Their previous collaboration has resulted in formal methods of autonomy architecture verification and methods for contamination field estimation using mobile robotic agents. In this project, they seek to extend these results and consolidate them into particular applications such as safe manoeuvre with balanced risk/safety/performance in environments including threats such as adversarial attacks and environment contamination.
