Robust Control of Nonlinear Systems

The project of control systems is to regulate the behaviour of a diverse range of engineering systems including those found in aerospace, manufacturing and communications. Because of inevitable uncertainty and the influence of disturbances, it is important to design controllers that can tolerate such undesirables. So control systems giving good performance under nominal conditions and acceptable performance for a range of other than nominal operating conditions is desired. The project will focus on the design of such robust controllers for systems described by nonlinear models using the information state framework.
