    To undertake written, visual and digital research into the lives and careers of scientists, T H Huxley and J MacGillivray, who voyaged to the Antipodes on British survey expeditions during the nineteenth century and contributed vitally to the scientific, cultural, social and political success of the Darwinian revolution in Britain and Australasia.
