Project Details
Description
The properties of nanoscale materials depend on their size and can vary significantly from those of their bulk counterparts. As such they provide stringent tests for current theories and the potential for materials with new and novel properties. Semiconductor nanocrystals represent an important class of such materials for application in microelectronics, optoelectronics and photonics. This project aims to understand the complex processes that underpin the self-assembly, structure, properties and applications of these nanoscale materials.
