Description
A diagnosis of cancer of unknown primary (CUP) results in significant challenges to the patient, their family, health care providers, services and the community at multiple levels. The clinical presentation of CUP is highly heterogeneous, with large variation in diagnostic pathways. Subsequent optimal treatment approaches are not well defined. The current research proposal focusses entirely on people with suspected CUP and provides an already available health service and diagnostic pathway (the OCP for people with CUP) for establishing the diagnosis and treatment.
