SHRIMP SI Source Chamber Refurbishment

This proposal seeks support to refurbish the source chamber of the SHRIMP SI ion microprobe housed at RSES. The original design specifications for SHRIMP SI included several compromises in the source chamber that were ultimately designed as workarounds because no commercial items with the required capability were available at that time. The specific items that we seek to redress are the sample manipulator and a low-vibration cryopump system.
