Project Details
Description
We aim to develop and verify the fundamental concepts of singular photonics and explore novel applications of optical vortices for manipulating electromagnetic fields with a nontrivial phase structure. As a result of this project, we will develop innovative theoretical methods and experimental techniques for highly effective generation and control of optical fields with desired phase topology and complex energy flows in both linear and nonlinear media, and explore various applications of twisted light. This project will strengthen the leading positions of Australia in nonlinear singular optics and facilitate the emergence of novel technologies.
