    Project Details

    Description

The University of Melbourne is supporting SkyHopper with an internal funding award of AUD 800,000 for 2019.The funding (extending into 2020 for a total of up to 15 months of support) will allow us to: Establish a nanosatellite-design laboratory at Melbourne employing one project manager and two engineers to design the spacecraft and its science payload, coordinating ongoing and planned in-kind contributions from all partners; Award a consulting contract to the provider of the TRL9 spacecraft bus to customize the hardware design to meet SkyHopper's science requirements, minimizing delay in procurement once fabrication funding is secured.
