Slow-light photonics

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

The possibility to reduce the speed of light is essential for the creation of compact photonic chips for all-optical signal processing, the goal pursued by leading international research centres. This project will develop innovative concepts for the realization of integrated photonic circuits utilizing the unique properties of interacting slow-light waves. Anticipated collaborations with experimental groups will further contribute to the development of photonics technologies in Australia that may enable the next generation of all-optical devices for global communication networks.
