    Description

    This research will inform EWOV and the other contributing funder, the VictorianDepartment of Environment, Land Water and Planning (DELWP) of the potential areas ofconsumer detriment or complaints that new energy products and services may create. It willassist EWOV to consider its future jurisdiction and operational focus, as well as assistingpolicymakers to ensure that the Victorian energy consumer protection framework, includingappropriate dispute resolution, remains fit for purpose in a changing energy market. For the purposes of this project, new energy products and services are defined as, but notlimited to:- Solar PV- Battery storage- Virtual power plants- Home energy management systems- Microgrids- Peer to peer energy trading- Electric vehiclesThe research will focus on residential and small business customers.
