Space gravity: Squeezing the last drop of hydrological information out of current and future missions

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Understanding the effects of decadal scale natural variability and secular climate change on total water storage of the Australian continent is a national priority. Over the last decade the GRACE satellite mission has provided unique quantitative measurements of Australian continental total water storage changes. This project will to extend the analysis capability in Australia to utilise fully all available GRACE observations for this purpose, and build analysis capability in Australia for the commencement of the flow of observations from the GRACE Follow On mission.
