Stochastic and spatial dynamics in mathematical models of combat with non-combatant populations

DSTs Joint and Operations Analysis Division (JOAD) is managing a Strategic ResearchInitiative (SRI) into Modelling Complex Warfighting. The Modelling Complex WarfightingSRIs goal is to undertake research into next generation methods in modelling, simulationand analysis to develop a next generation Operations Research capability to inform thefuture Force Design (FD) process. The Modelling Complex Warfighting SRI researchprogram is divided into a number of strategic responses or themes addressing differentresearch and development questions ranging from discovering new behaviour, modellingcomplexity, to high performance computing infrastructure for complex simulations to thefuture role of data science. This research agreement deals with Strategic Response SixSR6 Concepts of Complexity enabled Warfare.
