Superannuation funds: ensuring the financial health of Australians in retirement

The project provides a comprehensive review of the Australian Superannuation Industry. Specifically, we assess performance, money flows and fees in the context of recent regulatory changes regarding superannuation choice legislation, disclosure regulation and corporate governance practices of the superannuation funds. We also assess the impact of these policies on fund and investor outcomes. Our results will provide useful assistance for the Superannuation Industry in serving Australia's aging population and will guide policy makers in this important field.
