Project Details
Description
This project will develop and deploy multimedia learning resources designed to support undergraduates who have limited prior experience in their chosen discipline. The outcomes will provide commencing students in large cohorts with improved opportunities to succeed in their vocation by providing topic-specific supplementary learning materials in the form of customized, computer-based tutorial/workshop activities. These course-customised formative activities will address identified gaps in expected learning and discipline-specific threshold concepts. Additionally, this project will investigate how prior learning impacts progression in a discipline without entry pre-requisites. It will evaluate strategies to address such gaps to enhance topic understanding, program engagement and progression.
