Description
A study of the Thai population in transition from infectious diseases, malnutrition and maternal child illness and death to low mortality, increased life expectancy and chronic disease and injury. The aim is to identifiy opportunities to intervene to improve outcomes and to familiarise Thai researchers and policy makers with the new diseases and their management and prevention. The study is directed in Australia by Profesor Adrian Sleigh (NCEPH, ANU) and is directed and led in Thailand by A/P Sam-ang Seubsman (Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University and Visiting Fellow at ANU).
