The Engineering 'Hubs And Spokes' Project

There is a national shortage of engineers across all disciplines. Using the complementary strengths of the ANU and UniSA, greater choice of specialisations will be made available at each institution without replication of expensive resources. Key to this is a novel blended course delivery mode that allows students to stay at their home institution. This approach will be supported by a national engineering internship placement program that will facilitate links with industry and fast track graduates into initial career appointment. At the graduate level continuing professional development requirements will be addressed through a cross institutional Integrated Graduate Development Program meshed to industry needs.
