Description
The aim of this project is to uncover the key strategies which distinguish the winners in the generation of business value from information and communication technologies (ICT). A transformational model of ICT value generation is proposed, which includes important factors identified in prior work, namely ICT awareness, organisational transformation and persistence in realising benefits. This model is significant because it includes a time dimension not found in existing models. The project is large-scale, involving interviews, case studies, a survey and longitudinal analysis. Communication of results in articles and a book will assist firms in maximizing outcomes from ICT use.
