Project Details
Description
Public administration is the day-to-day implementation of public policy and programmes. Administrative law can be thought of as providing a legal framework for public administration. This project will explore the relationship between administrative law and public administration in Australia. The analysis will be enriched by comparing the legal framework of public administration in Australia with counterpart regimes in the United Kingdom and the United States. The main aim is to give Australians in general and Australian public administrators in particular a clearer and deeper understanding of the relevance of law and legal institutions to the conduct of government business.
