Project Details
Description
This project uses a multidisciplinary approach to understand the spread and evolution of a major parasite of honeybees, which will inevitably arrive in Australia, and is expected to cause large-scale agricultural and ecosystemdamages. This project will fill fundamental gaps in the parasite's biology, and develop tools for its control. Also, this project is well-positioned to put Australia at the forefront of the coming scientific revolution in ecologicalgenomics.
