Project Details
Description
Our DNA is continuously damaged by internal and external factors and repair of this damage is vital to maintaining human health. Ourlaboratory recently discovered a new enzyme family that is essential for the correct and efficient repair of damaged DNA. We will furtherinvestigate the mechanisms underlying the involvement of these factors in DNA repair and the potential of these enzymes (RNase H enzymes) asnew targets for cancer drug development.
