    Project Details

    Description

The project aims to study remodeling and mechanisms involved in the development of a suitable magnetoelectroelastic law, experimental and numerical methodology of bone remodeling. In view of potential use of coupled multi-field effects in smart biomaterials and lack of their theoretical bases, the expected outcomes are contributions to new knowledge on multi-field properties of bone tissues, to enhance understanding of coupled behavior of magnetic, electric, and elastic fields in smart bones by numerical and experimental analysis, and to study effects of microstructures on material properties using microanalysis. It is envisaged that the outcomes from the project will provide an initial insight for further research in smart biomaterials.
