    Project Details

    Description

The proposal addresses four sub-projects, linked through their reliance on the same nonparametric methodologies. They involve data sharpening, fault line estimation, estimation of periodic responses, and construction of prediction intervals. They have application in several areas, for example to economics and earth science (sub-project II) and astronomy (sub-project III). Aims and future outcomes include development of statistical technologies, and descriptions of their properties, in computer intensive methods; significance includes the importance and relevance of the project and their applications.
