Tip-enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

This proposal aims to build up a Tip-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (TERS) system, whichbrings Raman spectroscopy into nanoscale resolution imaging. TERS is a super-resolutionoptical technique and has been used as a powerful characterisation tool in sensors, optoelectronic devices, semiconductors, chemical engineering, energy, environmentalengineering, batteries, biological science and aerospace devices. ANU currently does notpossess such a facility. The proposed equipment will play an important role in our futureresearch and strengthen our cross-campus, national and international collaborations. It wellaligns with the research strengths of ANU in nanotechnology and semiconductor (ANU hasthe highest ERA score of 5).
