Project Details
Description
Cancer metastasis, the process by which tumour cells spread throughout the body and form secondary tumours at distant sites, is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths. Interestingly, circulating tumour cells can collaborate with distant organs to promote metastasis to these sites. However, the underlying mechanisms directing this process remain unclear. This project aims to uncover the genetic pathways that regulate site-specific metastasis, specifically to the brain.
