    Description

EXT MRFF 2024 MHR - UNSW-led - CIA Werner-Seidler - 2040489 - Stream 3 Topic B :: Summary:: This incubator project will investigate the feasibility and potential effects of a novel, multi-level school-based sleep health program. This program investigates two interrelated components: (i) a universal, sleep health education program delivered by teachers in classrooms; and (ii) upskilling school wellbeing staff (counsellors, psychologists, wellbeing teachers) to provide tailored assessment, management and referral of adolescents with existing sleep problems. This multilevel approach aims to lay the foundations for healthy sleep early in adolescence via a curriculum-aligned sleep education program, and provides targeted support via school wellbeing services to teenagers already experiencing sleep disturbance. Outcomes will focus on the feasibility, acceptability and preliminary effects of this program.
