    Project Details

    Description

The purpose of the project is to carry out a fundamental study of the relationship between NMR relaxation response and permeability and dispersion in a porous medium. The aim is to develop improved relaxation time - permeability estimators for the interpretation of field NMR logging measurements as well as the analysis of contaminant transport. A key feature of the study is the introduction, for the first time, of realistic rock microstructure based on high resolution X-ray CT imaging.
