Uncovering new epigenetic-based regulatory mechanisms of gene expression: novel links between histone variants, RNA function and disease

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

This study will reveal a new level of complexity in the post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression that involves an unexpected link between transcription and splicing mediated by a histone variant. It will also provide new insights into how the epigenome can be functionally reprogrammed towards a malignant state by the abnormal expression of a histone variant.
