Description

The first component of work will be lead by Dr Ryan Young from the NSC Futures Hub. The second will be led by Prof Katherine Daniell from the School of Cybernetics. Aims of Research Project:To improve our understanding of complexity and methods to work intransdisciplinary ways needed, through two complementary goalsi) explore analytic approaches to understanding complex systemsacross a wide range of disciplines; and use these to identify or buildpractical strategies and tools for better complex systems analysis inpractical policy and research work.(ii) explore historical and contemporary case study research examplesof new disciplinary evolutions / transdiscipline creation, in order toinform philosophical principles for bringing together incommensurateknowledges and paradigms relevant to a new OR (process and peoplefocus).
