Using Stem Cells and Oxygen Vectors to Enhance Graft Integration in Parkinson's Disease

    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

We will engineer biomaterials that can be administered within the brain to offer chemical and physical support to transplanted cells, as well asoxygen delivery to encourage their integration. These materials will be employed to delivery cells for the treatment of Parkinsons disease, promoting the survival and connectivity of the graft cells to ultimately offer symptomatic release and improved outcomes. This represents ageneralizable strategy for the improvement of cell therapy for patients.
