War Funders and Profiteers in Ukraine: Criminal Accountability and Reparations

The objectives of this project are twofold: First, to identify existing options and reforms opportunities for ensuring the accountability of war funders and profiteers under international criminal law, in Ukraine and beyond; and Second, to enable the exchange of experience and best practices among leading experts working at the intersection of international criminal justice and illicit financial flows on topics relevant to the war in Ukraine, including investigation and prosecution of related financial crimes; confiscation of their proceeds and reparations to the victims; and the use of open-source investigations and targeted financial sanctions in support of those efforts.
