    Project: Research

    Project Details

    Description

By 2060 nearly one half of Australians aged 64 or older will be employed. The key dilemma for older workers (andfor workplaces) centres on their health; if this is unaddressed, the sustainability of the nations economy, tax baseand provision of health and care services could be threatened. This proposal represents a major collaborationbetween national policy portfolios (employment, social services, workplace health and social equity) and expertscientists in work, health, social equality and policy process. We address five key research questions, joiningmultiple lines of evidence to reveal the diversity of older workers work-health dilemmas and effective ways fornational policies to solve them.
