    Abstract

A study of the α+Li6, α+Li6*, d+Be8 and p+Be9 decay of B10, the α+Li7, t+Be8, and d+Be9 decay of B11 and the α+Li8 and t+Be9 decay of B12 has been performed using the C12(Li7,B10*)Be9, O16(Li7,B10*)C13, Li7(Li7,B11*)t, and Li7(Li7,B12*)d reactions at 58 MeV. The excitation energy of the 10,11,12B* was determined following the coincident detection of the α+Li and H+Be decay fragments. A study of the relative yields for the decay of a number of excited states in 10,11,12B* indicates that the α-decay channel dominates in all cases.
