Abstract

The reaction of [Ti₂(-Cl)₂(thf)₂(η- C₈H₈)₂] with Na[HB(mt)₃] (mt = methimazolyl) provides the unusual salt [Ti{HB(mt)₃} ₂][TiCl₄(thf)₂], the cation of which features homoleptic Ti^IIIS₆ coordination.
